The Opportunity
Our client is a leading security systems integrator delivering high-value, technically complex projects across London and the wider UK. They are now looking for an experienced Security Project Manager to take the lead on their security integrations team.
This is a key management position, responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multi-million-pound projects incorporating CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and associated integrated security technologies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced project professional with a strong background in electronic security systems, construction or building services, capable of managing projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover.
The Role
As Security Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the delivery of major integrated security projects, managing internal teams, specialist subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client stakeholders.
You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project partners.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of large-scale, multi-million-pound electronic security projects across London.

Manage the installation and integration of:

CCTV systems
-
Access control systems
-
Intruder alarm systems
-
Video intercom and door entry systems
-
Security management and monitoring platforms
-
Associated networks, infrastructure and security technologies.

Head and coordinate the security integration project team, providing clear leadership, direction and accountability.

Take responsibility for project programmes, budgets, resources, procurement and delivery.

Manage project mobilisation, design coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and final handover.

Coordinate closely with main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants, architects, end users and client representatives.

Manage specialist subcontractors and installation teams to ensure work is delivered to programme and specification.

Review and manage project drawings, specifications, technical submissions, RAMS and commissioning documentation.

Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, procurement and commercial performance.

Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Chair and attend project progress meetings, producing clear actions and reporting on project performance.

Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, standards, client requirements and company procedures.

Oversee system integration and ensure different security technologies operate effectively as a complete solution.

Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and final client handover.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Provide regular management reporting covering programme, commercial performance, risks, resources and project status.

Support the continued development of the security integration team, processes and project delivery standards.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Security Project Manager / Senior Security Project Manager who has successfully delivered significant electronic security projects within a construction, infrastructure, commercial or high-end development environment.
You will ideally have:

Proven experience managing large-scale integrated security projects, preferably £multi-million in value.

Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.

Experience managing projects within major commercial, residential, infrastructure, data centre, government or high-value developments.

Previous experience managing project teams and specialist security subcontractors.

Strong understanding of construction project environments and M&E coordination.

Excellent programme, budget and resource management skills.

Experience working with main contractors, consultants and end clients.

Strong commercial awareness, including variations, costs and project forecasting.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

A structured and proactive approach to project delivery.

The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

A strong understanding of health & safety requirements within construction environments.
Relevant qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2, SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent would be advantageous, as would experience with recognised security manufacturers and platforms.
